  Promotion of Ramon Daniels on July 7th, 2011 at 10.00 h. Title of the dissertation: Frail Elderly: identification and disability prevention in primary care

  Reina de Kinderen (formal HSRM student and now Caphri PhD) is voted as the winner for the national Pfizer HTAcademy for the project on the relationship between disease specific outcomes and generic quality of life outcomes in the field of epilepsy. This will be evaluated by a European expert committee, who will award the European prize to the most promising entry. She will present her project for the European expert committee on the 5th of July.

Joan Vermeulen received the price for the best poster presentation. Her poster was about the development of a technological intervention aimed at giving feedback on physical performance of elderly.

Math Gulpers received the Crebolder Award for Societal Impact for his research in reduction of the restriction of freedom in nursing homes. The impact of the research of the EXBELT-intervention (aimed at the reduction of binding in nursing homes) on policy, legislation and practice, is according to the jury a classical example of societal impact.

Josianne Boyne has won the Nursing Investigator Award during the European Congress of Heart Failure in Gothenburg, May 18-19. The abstract was titled ‘Tailored telemonitoring in patients with heart failure: the TEHAF-study’.
