Marc Ponsen
I
am a C.S. PhD student at the department of
knowledge engineering and computer science of
Maastricht University. Prior to joining
Maastricht University, I worked as an Artificial
Intelligence researcher at Lehigh University
(USA).
My research interests include machine learning, and in particular reinforcement learning.
My current research focuses on scaling
reinforcement learning algorithms to complex
environments, such as computer games. Techniques
as for example hierarchical reinforcement
learning and relational reinforcement learning
are examined in single
agent scenarios as well as a multi-agent
scenarios. I (co-)authored several refereed
conference/ workshop papers and international
journal papers on these subjects.
