Forum Maastricht

Forum maastricht is a new initiative of Maastricht University. Its aim is to bring together people from the world of academia, politics, business and society to discuss the development of the European Union with an emphasis on the scientific approach.

Forum maastricht intends to organise an annual international scientific conference, focusing on topical European issues. The outcomes of these conferences should contribute to a better understanding of European citizenship, enhance the relationship between the European and national parliaments, as well as co-operation between higher education and research institutes and industry.

The first international conference organised by forum maastricht will take place on 1 July 2004, the first day of the Dutch Presidency of the European Union.
