Study programmes

The studyprogrammes at Maastricht University are offered in the Bachelor/Master structure. Maastricht University offers both one-year and two-year Master programmes, some of them will start in September 2005. The Center for European Studies (CES), part of Maastricht University, specialises in international courses for non-European students. Maastricht University also has its own Language Center, offering a great variety of language courses.

CARIM (Cardiovascular Research Institute Maastricht), Centre for Gender Studies and Diversity, CWS (Arts and Culture Research), EPP (Experimental Psychopathology), GROW (Research Institute Growth & Development), CAPHRI (Maastricht Health Institute for Prevention and Care; Extramural and Transmural Health Care), Brain & Behaviour, Matriks (Maastricht Technological Research Institute for Knowledge and Systems), MERIT (Maastricht Economic Research Institute on Innovation and Technology), METEOR (Maastricht Research Institute/School of Economics and Organizations), METRO (Maastricht European Institute for Transnational Legal Research), NUTRIM (Nutrition and Toxicology Research Institute Maastricht), ROA (Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market).

International bodies

Maastricht University participates in international collaborative bodies aimed at educational renewal, for example in ALMA (the Rheinisch Westfälisch Technische Hochschule Aachen (Germany), the Université de Liège (Belgium), the Limburgs Universitair Centrum (Belgium) and the UM), EDINEB (an international network with the purpose of renewal of economic and business education), and Network (an international collaborative body of educational institutions in the field of health). MUNDO is the office for university co-operation with developing countries.
