Central themes of our investigations are

i)               signalling of estrogens and estrogen receptor;

ii)             estrogen metabolism and activity of steroidogenic enzymes;

iii)            genetic predisposition to gynaecological disorders;

iv)            role of epigenetics in gynaecological disorders.

Our mission is to unveil the possible pathogenic mechanisms involved in the different gynaecological disorders to improve diagnosis, prognosis and therapy.

The MAASTRICHT ENDOMETRIUM RESEARCH GROUP is embedded into GROW (School for Oncology and Developmental Biology) and the Maastricht University Medical Centre.
