For more than two decades, the MAASTRICHT ENDOMETRIUM RESEARCH GROUP has been studying the human endometrium,
its physiology and pathological conditions such as endometriosis, endometrial
hyperplasia and cancer.
Central themes of our
investigations are

signalling of estrogens and estrogen receptor;
ii)
estrogen metabolism and activity of steroidogenic enzymes;
iii)
genetic predisposition to gynaecological disorders;
iv)
role of epigenetics in gynaecological disorders.
Our mission is to unveil the
possible pathogenic mechanisms involved in the different gynaecological
disorders to improve diagnosis, prognosis and therapy.
The MAASTRICHT ENDOMETRIUM
RESEARCH GROUP is embedded into GROW (School for Oncology and Developmental
