Abstract
instructions:
In general, abstracts should represent original research not yet
published or presented elsewhere prior to its submission for the
2010 ISSFAL meeting. (Plenary and other invited speakers are
exempt from this requirement but asked to submit an abstract
covering their presentation).
English is the official language and will
be adopted in all the publications and presentations.
The abstract has a maximum of 300 words.
The title should be brief, clear and informative. The entire
title must be typed in UPPERCASE (capital) letters,
single-spaced and
has a maximum of 20 words.
The abstracts (excepting those received from plenary and invited
speakers and awardees) must be organized in structured format
using the following headings in bold type: Background
(optional), Objective, Procedure, Results,
and Conclusion.
Categories:
The Scientific Committee encourages submission of abstracts in
the following categories:
1.
Lipids and Health
2. Biochemistry of Lipids
3. Lipids and Nutrition
Abstracts will be judged on scientific merit. Abstracts whose
primary purpose appears to be the promotion of commercial
products will not be accepted.
The first author on the abstract is considered to be the
presenter of the paper at the Conference.
Applicants will receive notification of acceptance no later than
15 March 2010.
Accepted abstracts may be scheduled as either oral or poster
presentation and will be published in the Congress Program and
Abstract book.
Please indicate if you wish your abstract to be
considered for oral or poster presentation. Changes will NOT be
allowed after submission.
Oral presentation of accepted abstracts will be 12 minutes in
length followed by a 3-minute question period.
Specific instructions for oral and poster presentations will be
sent to presenters and will be posted on the ISSFAL meeting
website. With notification, all poster presenters will be given
a scheduled day and specific times to attend their posters to
answer questions.
