The conference is in two adjacent university buildings at Universiteitssingel 40 and 50 (UNS 40 and UNS 50) at the Randwijck area in Maastricht. The plenary sessions are being offered at the UNS 40 in the Maastrichtzaal (level 0).
The registration desk is at the main entrance of UNS 40.

The university buildings UNS 40 and 50 are just a 3 minutes walk from train station Maastricht-Randwyck and Maastricht-Randwyk bus stop. There is a regular bus and train service between this station and Maastricht central station.

Free bus transportation
Your E-Iassid 2006 conference badge gives you free access to the public buses in Maastricht during the conference. There is a bus stop at a few minutes walking distance from the conference venue. This bus stop is located next to the Maastricht-Randwyck railway station.

Parking
Parking space is very limited near the conference site. However, some paid parking space is available at the AzM (Academic Hospital) and the MECC (Maastricht Expostition and Congress Center). We, therefore, strongly recommend you to travel by public transport.

Directions to the UM, UNS 40

By plane and train From Amsterdam-Schiphol to Maastricht-Randwijck:
Departure Schiphol xx.21 and xx.51, change at Duivendrecht (take intercity in the direction of Maastricht). Travelling time approx. 3 hours.
A direct train is also available from Amsterdam Central Station to Maastricht Central Station (leaves at xx.28, travelling time 2,5 hours). 
Change trains at Maastricht Central Station to Maastricht Randwijck (several train services per hour)

From Brussels Airport:
Please consult the International Trainplanner of the Dutch Railways for train schedules. (Departure station: Bruxelles-Nat.-Aerop., Arrival station: Maastricht-Randwijck)

From Düsseldorf Airport:
Please consult the International Trainplanner of the Dutch Railways for train schedules. (Departure station: Düsseldorf Flughafen – change at Düsseldorf Hbf, change trains at Venlo, change trains at Roermond, change trains at Maastricht. Arrival station: Maastricht-Randwijck)

By Thalys (high-speed train) 1. Travel by Thalis to Liège-Guillemins (info: Thalis)
Paris-Nord (xx.55 hrs – 8 times a day – travelling time approx. 2h25m)
Brussels-South (xx28 hrs – 7 times a day – travelling time approx. 50 min.)
Köln-Hbf (xx.14 hrs – 6 times a day – travelling time approx. 1h30m)

By car

Coming from the north:

  • Motorway A2 Maastricht-Luik. Take exit 55 marked 'Randwyck-MECC'. Turn right at the end of the exit lane. Turn right at the first traffic lights. Take the first road to your right. Turn left at the end of the road. Take the third entrance on your left (parking Universiteitssingel 30 en 40 / entrance only with special parking permits).

Coming from the south:

  • Motorway E25/A2 Luik-Maastricht. Take exit 56 marked 'Gronsveld-MECC'. Turn right at the end of the exit lane. Follow this road for approx. 1.6 km (go half way around at the roundabout). After 1.6 km turn left in the direction of Randwijck/MECC/AZM (hospital). Turn right at the first traffic light after crossing the main A2. Take the first road to your right. Turn left at the end of the road. Take the third entrance on your left (parking Universiteitssingel 30 en 40 / entrance only with special parking permits).
