Registration and Accomodation

Registration and housing can be arranged using the on-line registration form.

Location for oral presentations, poster presentations and exhibits will be Kasteel Vaalsbroek. The hotel accommodation is immediately adjacent to the meeting location. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to book a room at this location.

For congress registration reduced rates are available for Master and PhD students.
Also, it will be possible to share double bed rooms in Vaalsbroek, thereby reducing costs for housing, if desired. Rooms will be allotted on a first come-first serve base.

Registration fees

* Trainees are all pre-doctoral students and young post-doctoral fellows who, at the date of the 2006 CSDS meeting, are no more than 3 years from the date their degree was awarded.

The conference fee includes attendance to the conference, all materials, lunches, coffee breaks, social programme and conference dinner.

Confirmation of Registration  
Confirmation of registration will be sent by e-mail by the Conference Office in Maastricht. In this confirmation you will receive a full itinerary of your selected conference events including your registration fee and hotel booking (if selected).  If you haven't received this confirmation within 5 working days, please contact the Conference Office.

Payment of the registration fee(s)
Credit card payment is the preferred method of payment for the registration fee. The University of Maastricht operates a secure on-line payment system. You can arrange to pay by credit card when you register on-line, please have your card ready.
Bank transfer off-line is the only other alternative method of payment. You will receive an invoice with all the bank details. Banks may charge fees for bank transfers, and participants are advised to check this with their bank. Please indicate on your form the billing address to which the invoice can be sent.

Cancellation of registration
• Cancellation of registration before 1 July 2006: 50 % refund of registration fee
• Cancellation of registration after 1 July 2006: 0 % refund of registration fee
After July 1, 2006, refunds are no longer possible, however the registered participant may propose a replacement; acceptance is possible if the Conference Office has been informed in writing in advance.

Accommodation

The Conference Office from the Universiteit Maastricht is handling all registration and accommodation bookings. Accommodation is provided in the conference venue or situated nearby the conference venue. The special discounted hotel rates are only available through the Conference Office. Rooms will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Please note that after the 10th of July 2006, rooms will be reserved on the basis of availability.

Reservation
You will be able to book a hotel when you register on-line. It’s also possible to contact the conference secretariat if you decide to book a hotel later. The Conference Office will send you a confirmation of your hotel booking by e-mail together with your confirmation of registration.

Payment for your accommodation
Hotel booking must be secured by a valid credit card. You will receive a fax-back form with your confirmation of registration to guarantee your hotel booking.  You have to pay your hotel bill upon checkout. This is not included in the registration fee. The Conference  Office in Maastricht is unable to guarantee your hotel booking without a valid credit card.

Changes and cancellation policy hotel:
All changes or cancellations must be received in writing, by e-mail or fax, by The Conference Office. The reservation conditions are similar to the Uniform Conditions Hotel and Catering Industry.

Hotel prices quoted below are per room per night including breakfast, excluding city tax, which is € 1.80 - € 2.20 per person, per night. Note that it is possible to share a room with a colleague, thereby reducing the costs by almost half. Accommodation for the speakers will be provided in Dolce Kasteel Vaalsbroek.
