Mahesh graduated from Kurukshetra University with Bachelors in Sciences in 2001.

The same year he joined Madurai Kamaraj University for MSc in biotechnology.

In Nov 2003 he started working on his Phd with Prof. Roger Goody at the Max Planck

institute for molecular physiology, in Dortmund, Germany.

During this Phd he worked in collaboration with Dr. Richard Jackson (University of Leeds))

to develop "Information theory based scoring function for prediction of protein-ligand affinity".

A novel method to demarcate and classify ligand binding site on its ability to bind putative ligands

was developed.

Presently, at the University of Maastricht he is working on identifying activity modulators for blood

coagulation proteins.
