15-4-2008     Mahesh arrived in the lab. He is working on several VLS projects, along with struggling to set up the right computing systems.
 
23-6-2008     Kenneth has an OK to send his thesis to the review committee !
 
30-7-2008     Mahesh his first paper as first a author, together with Richard Jackson and Roger Goody, was accepted !!
 
25-9-2008     Kenneth's thesis has been approved, and will be defended in public on December 8th 2008 at 14:00h
15-7-2009     Roy has finished his training as a technician and will stay in our lab, with support from a Bayer Special project Award that                    was granted to Gerry in May.
17-8-2009     We will try our new PC cluster, which will enable us to speed up calculations dramatically.

01-9-2009    Today Jiangfeng has arrived in the lab, all the way from China to start a PhD in bioinformatics.

05-12-2009   We celebrated Saint Nicolas (what's in a name....) and realize that in China no one has ever heard of Sinterklaas.

26-4-2010     Not less that 3 Major students arrived today for an internship: Constance Baaten, Tom Theunissen and Patrick Kuijpers will join us for 3 months

18-5-2010     The paper on the active site mutant of APC was accepted in JBC! Karin's first (co)authorship.

24-6-2010     Mahesh had an oral presentation at the joint metting of the BSTH and NVTH at Noordwijkerhout, it went really well.

25-10-2010   Barbara has started her PhD today!

15-12-2010   Today Olivier Sperandio and Bruno Villoutreix visited, an excellent seminar on PPi's was given by Olivier.

18-4-2011     Today 3 Molecular Life Sciences students arrived for their 10-weeks internship: Albert Bitorina, Mick Frissen en Mart Kikken. It's nice and busy in the lab now!

20-4-2011     Barbara had a first oral presentation at the NSBM Spring Meeting, held during the Netherlands Bioinformatics Centre meeting 2011 in Lunteren (NL).

25-7-2011     Two posters were presented at the ISTH congress in Kyoto (Japan) on the virtual screening and in vitro testing of small molecule inhibitors of FVIIIa and APC.

28-7-2011     Gerry presented the data on the non-proteolytic anticoagulant properties of APC during the ISTH congress in Kyoto, Japan. The presentation was very well received

1-9-2011       Marie started her PhD today, she will be working both in our department and in the Molecular Genetics department, working on a  metabolic target within the diabetis field.
